Morpheus8 at The Marigold Spa in Downingtown, PA is a cutting-edge device used for radiofrequency microneedling. The handheld device has numerous microneedles, measuring up to 6mm in length. The device makes numerous micro-channels on the skin’s surface and simultaneously delivers radiofrequency energy into the deeper dermal lasers up to a depth of 6mm. As such, the Morpheus8 device combines radiofrequency therapy and microneedling in a single session.
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a procedure wherein micro-injuries on your skin’s surface activate the body’s healing processes. Your body increases skin cell turnover to replace the dead skin cells and damaged skin while also producing new collagen fibers. The thermal energy also catalyzes collagen production to tighten your skin tissues. The results are firm, toned, and even-textured skin.

Morpheus8 requires numbing for 45 minutes to an hour, but then is a quick 30-minute procedure. Pre and Post Morpheus8 Care
MORPHEUS8 PRE CARE

Have a light meal or snack prior to your appointment.

Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup.

Avoid the consumption of Aspirin, Motrin, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, or any other essential fatty acids that can increase the risk of bleeding and bruising.

If applicable, shave the area that will be treated.

Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks prior to your treatment.

Refrain from using tanning beds or self-tanners for 2 weeks before your treatment.

Avoid alcohol the night before.

Avoid coffee the morning of your treatment.
MORPHEUS8 POST CARE

You may look like you have a moderate to severe sunburn immediately after your treatment, and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This is a normal reaction and will subside after 24-48 hours. DO NOT ICE.

Your esthetician will guide you on post-procedure skincare, and provide you with an aftercare kit that focuses on products that soothe, calm, and protect the skin.

Treat your skin gently for at least 3 days following the treatment. You can resume your usual skincare routine after Day 4.

Be sure to apply sunscreen diligently, as your skin may be more sensitive to sun exposure.

Refrain from using saunas, hot tubs, and avoid exercising for 24 hours after your treatment.

Avoid applying makeup for 24 hours post-treatment to let your skin breathe and recover.

Avoid wearing hats or headbands for 24 hours post-treatment.
